Previous Highlights - February 2005

NEW: The English version of a 10-minute UNU-INTECH promotional programme is now available online at the UNU video portal. The programme was originally broadcast on a local station, TV Limburg, Maastricht, in December 2004.

First steps towards greater INTECH/MERIT collaboration

The first steps have been taken towards realizing the goal of greater collaboration and a possible merger between UNU-INTECH and Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (MERIT). At a recent two-day symposium students participating in the joint MERIT/UNU-INTECH PhD Programme on Economic and Policy Studies of Technological Change presented their research topics and reported on progress toward completing their degrees. This successful event will be followed by two research seminars planned for February and March 2005 where researchers from both institutes will present their research projects and exchange views on how best to tap into potential synergies and to identify research themes for an integrated Institute.
