United Nations University launches RUN Database for broader dissemination of research outputs
Research in the United Nations, or RUN, is a new portal that will provide public access to research materials within the UN system. The repository is managed by the UNU International Institute for Software Technologies (UNU-IIST). It currently contains research reports from four UNU centres - UNU-IAS, UNU-IIST, UNU-INTECH and UNU-WIDER - but will gradually grow to incorporate the work of other UN research organizations and agencies.
The portal utilizes meta-data "fed" to it by the submitting members, either through a URL to the actually publication, or by uploading whole publication files to the IIST mainframe.
